Up Helly Aa ‘GV’
Standing next to David Cheskin from the Press Association, he enquired if I was going for the ‘GV’. Not being familiar with the term I had to ask, and here it is - the ‘general view’.
A big crowd of spectators considering the wind and driving rain on the night. You can see some of the other press photographers in the bottom-right getting rather wet. Hope David’s 1D has dried out and is working again!
