The Seas Around Us
See if you can spot all the creatures in the centre picture: hermit crab, octopus, sea cucumber, feather star and sea anemone. The sea urchin pictured on the right is completely white and is probably an albino version of the common sea urchin. It was found recently in a scallop dredge off Shetland.
I took these photographs at the NAFC Marine Centre in Scalloway, Shetland. The sea creatures are on display in an aquarium as part of the 'Seas Around Us' project for the Shetland schools, which is proving very popular.
