Sandsayre Pier
Activity at Sandsayre Pier on a fine night, ahead of a trip at dusk with The Mousa Boat to see and hear the Storm Petrel colony on Mousa - a trip I can highly recommend.
The slipway was built in the 1850s for use by the local herring fishermen, to a design by D. & T. Stevenson, engineers to the Northern Lighthouse Board. The histroic pier, now a Category B Listed Building, was reconstructed in 2012 following a large fundraising effort.
