Rock Cook Wrasse
This exotic looking Rock Cook Wrasse (Centrolabrus exoletus) wouldn’t look out of place on a Coral reef, but in fact they are found around Shetland shores. This particular specimen was photographed, using a macro lens, in one of the aquarium tanks at the NAFC Marine Centre’s ‘Seas Around Us’ display. The project is for schools and is also opening its doors to the general public on the 8th, 11th and 19th of July (2008).
