I'm back from a trip to the Netherlands to see my Dutch friends. I had a brilliant time and am already looking forward to going back!
I travelled light, taking only my old DSLR and my trusty (and compact) Olympus OM 24/2.8 & 50/1.8 lenses. Given the photographic opportunities, I'll take more gear with me next time.
One thing that really strikes you in the Netherlands is the quantity of man-made water channels. I photographed the windmills above at Kinderdikj, a World Heritage Site. These windmills were built around 1740 to drain excess water from the surrounding lands, which are situated below sea level.
Now to catch up on the pile of work at home...
