A Carpet of Seapinks
June is the time of year for Sea Pinks (Thrift) in Shetland. Photographed above is the Ness of Burgi, where an Iron-Age Blockhouse is situated near cliff edges. A lovely spot on a calm summer night, but I can’t imagine living here through the winters 2,000 years ago.
